Production:
In June, China’s total production of power and other batteries reached 129.2 GWh, marking a month-on-month (MoM) increase of 4.6% and a year-on-year (YoY) surge of 51.4%.
Sales:
In June, China’s domestic sales of power and other batteries totalled 131.4 GWh, up 6.3% MoM and 41.7% YoY. Specifically, power battery sales accounted for 71.6% of the total at 94.1 GWh, rising 7.6% MoM and 34.9% YoY. Meanwhile, sales of other batteries reached 37.4 GWh, representing 28.4% of total sales, with a 3.4% MoM and 62.5% YoY growth.
In June, China’s combined exports of power and other batteries soared to 24.4 GWh, jumping 27.9% MoM and 22.5% YoY. Exports accounted for 18.5% of total sales for the month. Power battery exports stood at 15.8 GWh (65.0% of total exports), climbing 17.1% MoM and 16.6% YoY. Exports of other batteries reached 8.5 GWh (35.0% of total exports), surging 54.7% MoM and 35.2% YoY.
Installed Capacity:
In June, China’s domestic power battery installed capacity amounted to 58.2 GWh, increasing 1.9% MoM and 35.9% YoY. Among these, ternary (NCM/NCA) battery installations totaled 10.7 GWh (18.4% of total installations), edging up 2.0% MoM but declining 3.4% YoY. In contrast, LFP battery installations reached 47.4 GWh (81.5% of total installations), rising 1.9% MoM and 49.7% YoY.
