Production:
In April 2025, China’s total production of power and other batteries reached 118.2 GWh, a slight month-on-month (MoM) decrease of 0.03%, but a significant year-on-year (YoY) increase of 49.0%.
From January to April, cumulative production stood at 444.6 GWh, up 67.1% YoY.
Sales:
In April, China’s sales of power and other batteries totalled 118.1 GWh, increasing 2.3% MoM and surging 73.5% YoY. Among these, power battery sales accounted for 86.6 GWh (73.4% of total sales), down 1.0% MoM but up 72.8% YoY.
From January to April, cumulative sales reached 403.9 GWh, marking a 73.7% YoY increase. Power battery sales contributed 303.9 GWh (75.2% of total sales), growing 56.8% YoY.
Installed Capacity:
In April, the installed capacity of power battery in China amounted to 54.1 GWh, declining 4.3% MoM but climbing 52.8% YoY.

From January to April, cumulative installed capacity reached 184.3 GWh, marking a 52.8% YoY growth.
