Production:
In March, the total production of power and other batteries in China was 118.3 GWh, an increase of 18.0% month-on-month (MoM) and 54.3% year-on-year (YoY).
From January to March, the total production of power and other batteries reached 326.3 GWh, a YoY growth of 74.9%.
Sales:
In March, the total sales of power and other batteries in China amounted to 115.4 GWh, increasing by 28.3% MoM and 64.9% YoY.
(1) Among this, the sales of power batteries were 87.5 GWh, accounting for 75.8% of total sales, with a MoM increase of 1.4%.
(2) Sales of other batteries reached 27.9 GWh, accounting for 24.2% of total sales.
From January to March, the cumulative sales of power and other batteries reached 285.8 GWh, with a YoY growth of 73.7%.
(1) Among this, power battery sales totaled 217.2 GWh, accounting for 76.0% of total sales.
(2) Sales of other batteries reached 68.6 GWh, accounting for 24.0% of total sales, with a YoY growth of 9.0%.
Installed Capacity:
In March, the installed capacity of power batteries in China was 56.6 GWh, increasing by 62.3% MoM and 61.8% YoY.
And the top 15 Chinese power battery companies by installed capacity in March 2025 are: CATL, BYD, CALB, Gotion, EVE, SVOLT, Sunwoda, LG Energy Solutions, Rept Battero, Zenergy, Jidian New Energy, Yinpai Battery, Do-Fluoride, Yoening and Genlead.
From January to March, the installed capacity of power batteries in China was 130.2 GWh, increasing by 52.8% YoY.
And the top 15 Chinese power battery companies by installed capacity from January to March in 2025 are: CATL, BYD, CALB, Gotion, EVE, SVOLT, Sunwoda, Rept Battero, LG Energy Solutions, Jidian New Energy, Zenergy, Yinpai Battery, Do-Fluoride, CORNEX and Yoening.
