Production:
In December, the total production of power and other batteries in China was 124.5 GWh, an increase of 5.7% month-on-month (MoM) and 60.2% year-on-year (YoY).
From January to December, the total production of power and other batteries reached 1,096.8 GWh, a YoY growth of 41.0%.
Sales:
In December, the total sales of power and other batteries in China amounted to 126.6 GWh, increasing by 7.0% MoM and 40.4% YoY.
(1) Among this, the sales of power batteries were 96.4 GWh, accounting for 76.1% of total sales, with a MoM increase of 9.8% and a YoY increase of 33.7%.
(2) Sales of other batteries reached 30.2 GWh, accounting for 23.9% of total sales, with a MoM decrease of 1.0% and a YoY increase of 67.3%.
From January to December, the cumulative sales of power and other batteries reached 1,039.5 GWh, with a YoY growth of 42.4%.
(1) Among this, power battery sales totaled 791.3 GWh, accounting for 76.1% of total sales, with a YoY growth of 28.4%.
(2) Sales of other batteries reached 248.2 GWh, accounting for 23.9% of total sales, with a YoY growth of 118.8%.
Installed Capacity:
In December, the vehicle load of power batteries in China was 75.4 GWh, increasing by 12.2% MoM and 57.3% YoY.
And the top 15 Chinese power battery companies by installed capacity in 2024 are: CATL, BYD, CALB, Gotion, EVE, SVOLT, Sunwoda, Rept Battero, Zenergy, LG Energy Solutions, Jidian New Energy, Farasis Energy, Do-Fluoride, Yinpai Battery, and Yoening.
