According to data from SNE Research, the global electric vehicle (EV) battery installation capacity in 2024 is projected to reach approximately 894.4 GWh, a year-on-year increase of 27.2%.
Among the top 10 companies by power battery installed capacity in the global market in 2024 (Table 1), six are Chinese firms: CATL, BYD, CALB, Gotion High-Tech, EVE Energy, and Sunwoda. The remaining four companies include three South Korean firms — LG Energy Solution, SK On, and Samsung SDI and one Japanese company, Panasonic.

In addition, SNE Research also released a list of the top 10 companies by power battery installed capacity in the global market excluding China (Table 2). This list includes four Chinese companies — CATL, BYD, Farasis Energy, and Gotion High-Tech, alongside three South Korean companies, two Japanese companies, and one American company as well.
