On November 7, SNE Research released the latest global installation data for EV batteries and published a list of the top 10 global EV battery companies by installation capacity.

From January to September 2023, the global installed capacity of EV batteries registered approximately 485.9 GWh, representing a year-on-year growth of 44.4%.

In September, the global installed capacity of power batteries was 56.9 GWh, showing a 13.9% decrease compared to August’s 66.1 GWh.

Due to the accelerated pace of energy transition, the installed capacity of EV batteries in the first nine months of this year has generally increased compared to the previous year.

Among the top 10 battery companies, Chinese companies include CATL, BYD, CALB, EVE, Gotion, and Sunwoda. Their combined market share for January to September is 62.9%.
