Recently, Gotion High-Tech signed a strategic investment agreement with the Moroccan government in Rabat. Gotion High-Tech will build the country’s first electric vehicle battery gigafactory, with a total cost of approximately $1.3 billion. The initial battery capacity of the factory will be 20GWh, and Gotion plans to further increase the capacity to 100GWh in the future. The final total investment is expected to reach approximately $6.5 billion.

Notably, just a week before the finalization of the Morocco project, Gotion High-Tech’s U.S. subsidiary won a local court ruling in Michigan to continue building an electric vehicle battery components factory.
