According to the latest statistics released by South Korea’s SNE, the global installed capacity of power batteries reached 92.4 GWh in the first two months of this year, marking a 27.0% year-on-year increase from the same period last year, which was 72.7 GWh.


Among them, the combined market share of six Chinese battery companies amounted to 60.8%, representing a 2.1% increase from the same period last year. CATL remains in the lead. However, BYD, affected by the Chinese New Year holiday, experienced a decline in rankings for the first time since surpassing LG Energy Solution (LGES) in January 2022. BYD’s installed capacity in the first two months decreased by 0.4 GWh compared to the same period last year. Ranking from 7th to 10th are CALB, EVE Energy, Gotion High-tech, and SVOLT, with a combined installed capacity of 1.6 GWh in the first two months, accounting for less than 2% of the global market.
