According to statistics from SNE Research, the global market for electric vehicle (EV) batteries — covering PEV/BEV, PHEV, and HEV — reached approximately 785.6 GWh in installed capacity from January to November 2024, marking a year-on-year growth of 26.4%.
As shown in Table 1 (above), six Chinese battery companies made the list. These companies are CATL, BYD, CALB, Gotion, EVE and Sunwoda. Additionally, three South Korean companies and one Japanese company also appeared on the list.

Furthermore, SNE Research also published the ranking of companies by power battery installed capacity in the global market excluding China from January to November 2024 (as shown in Table 2). CATL remained the leader, while BYD, Farasis Energy, and CALB saw significant year-on-year growth, ranging from 43.2% to 299.5%. The overall performance of these four Chinese battery companies in overseas markets showed a strong upward trend.
