EVE Energy has recently announced a strategic partnership with renewable energy company TSL Assembly. The agreement involves deploying energy storage systems (“ESS”) with a total capacity of 1GWh in Central and Eastern Europe between 2026 and 2030.

The collaboration focuses on two main areas:

  • First, EVE Energy will supply advanced ESS and integrated battery module solutions, featuring its ultra-high capacity 628Ah cell – Mr. Big, and the 5MWh DC ESS – Mr.Giant.
  • Second, through its local office in Germany, EVE Energy will provide TSL Assembly with technical support and project services.

TSL Assembly is a prominent renewable energy company in Central and Eastern Europe. This partnership primarily targets the large-capacity energy storage market.

Launched in January 2024, Mr.Big is EVE’s large prismatic battery cell specifically designed for energy storage. The battery utilizes a stacking process, with a single-cell capacity of 628Ah, an energy output of up to 2.009 kWh, an efficiency of up to 96%, and a cycle life exceeding 12,000 cycles.

The complementary Mr. Giant system adopts a standard 20-foot container design and supports parallel connection of four A/B cabinets, reducing the footprint by 25%. The ultra-large cell design cuts maintenance parts and vulnerable components by 50%, while lowering the labour costs of lifecycle maintenance by 30%.

EVE Energy observes that 314Ah cells are gaining rapid adoption in China, with the domestic energy storage industry expected to fully transition to 314Ah next year. Accordingly, EVE is promoting its 628Ah next-generation cell to prepare for competition in long-duration energy storage applications of four hours or more.

The Mr. Big battery is already in mass production at EVE’s Jingmen plant, while the Mr. Giant system also begins global deliveries in 2025. The partnership with TSL Assembly will accelerate the global deployment of EVE’s 628Ah batteries and strengthen its strategic position in the European market.

Notably, EVE recently unveiled its “5-Year Zero Degradation” 5MWh long-cycle ESS – Mr. Giant Pro – in Las Vegas, along with the overseas debut of its 836kWh modular cabinet. These launches not only open new possibilities for large-cell applications but also provide strong technical support for renewable energy adoption.

With its forward-looking strategy, EVE Energy captured 11% of the global energy storage battery market in 2024, ranking second only to CATL. In the first half of 2025 (“H1 2025”), its energy storage battery shipments hit a record of 28.71 GWh, up 37.02% year-on-year.

Financially, EVE’s energy storage battery revenue reached 10.298 billion yuan (approximately $1.43 billion US) in H1 2025, rising 32.47% year-on-year. The segment’s contribution to total revenue has grown rapidly from 26% in 2022 to 39%, now matching that of power batteries and becoming a core business segment. Going forward, EVE will continue to innovate and provide safer, more efficient, and reliable energy storage solutions to support the global transition to green energy.
