According to data from the China Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, China’s lithium battery production reached 73.3 GWh in August, representing a month-on-month increase of 7.4% and a year-on-year increase of 46.8%. From January to August, cumulative lithium battery production in China reached 456.2 GWh.
In August, the total sales of Chinese power and energy storage batteries amounted to 65.0 GWh, with a month-on-month growth of 13.3%. Among them, power battery sales accounted for 55.1 GWh, occupying 83.5% of total.
In August, the top 5 Chinese power battery companies by shipment volume were CATL, BYD, CALB, Gotion, and EVE.
