Production:
In December, China’s combined production of power and energy storage batteries reached 201.7 GWh, marking MoM increase of 14.4% and a significant YoY surge of 62.1%.
From January to December, cumulative production totaled 1,755.6 GWh, reflecting a cumulative YoY growth of 60.1%.
Sales:
In December, domestic sales of power and energy storage batteries in China amounted to 199.3 GWh, up 11.1% MoM and 57.5% YoY. Power batteries accounted for 72.1% of the sales share, while energy storage batteries made up 27.9%.
From January to December, cumulative sales hit 1,700.5 GWh, with a cumulative YoY increase of 63.6%. The sales breakdown for the period was 70.6% for power batteries and 29.4% for energy storage batteries.
Exports:
In December, combined exports of power and energy storage batteries stood at 32.6 GWh, rising 1.3% MoM and 49.2% YoY. Power batteries constituted 58.4% of exports, with energy storage batteries at 41.6%.
- Power battery exports were 19.0 GWh, down 10.4% MoM but up 47.1% YoY.
- Energy storage battery exports reached 13.6 GWh, showing strong growth of 23.9% MoM and 52.2% YoY.
- From January to December, cumulative exports reached 305.0 GWh, growing 50.7% YoY and representing 17.9% of the annual total sales. The export mix was 62.2% power batteries and 37.8% energy storage batteries.
- Cumulative power battery exports from January to December were 189.7 GWh, up 41.9% YoY.
- Cumulative energy storage battery exports totaled 115.3 GWh, surging 67.9% YoY.
Installation Capacity:
In December, domestic power battery installations reached 98.1 GWh, increasing 4.9% MoM and 35.1% YoY.
From January to December, cumulative domestic installations reached 769.7 GWh, marking a cumulative YoY growth of 40.4%.
