Production:
In April, China’s combined production of power and energy storage batteries reached 183.9 GWh, marking MoM increase of 3.5% and a significant YoY surge of 55.6%.
From January to April, cumulative production totaled 671.3 GWh, reflecting a cumulative YoY growth of 51.0%.
Sales:
In April, domestic sales of power and energy storage batteries in China amounted to 164.2 GWh, down 6.2% MoM but up 39.0% YoY. Power batteries accounted for 66.4% of the sales share, while energy storage batteries made up 33.6%.
From January to April, cumulative sales hit 601.2 GWh, with a cumulative YoY increase of 48.9%. The sales breakdown for the period was 66.7% for power batteries and 33.3% for energy storage batteries.
Exports:
In April, subject to the new export tax rebate policy, combined exports of power and energy storage batteries stood at 31.7 GWh, decreasing 12.3% MoM and rising 42.0% YoY. Power batteries constituted 63.9% of exports, with energy storage batteries at 36.1%.
– Power battery exports were 20.2 GWh, down 9.0% MoM but up 40.1% YoY.
– Energy storage battery exports reached 11.4 GWh, down 17.4% MoM but up 45.4% YoY.
From January to April, cumulative exports reached 115.8 GWh, growing 38.1% YoY and representing 19.3% of the annual total sales. The export mix was 66.6% power batteries and 33.4% energy storage batteries.
– Cumulative power battery exports from January to April were 77.1 GWh, up 47.5% YoY.
– Cumulative energy storage battery exports totaled 38.7 GWh, surging 22.5% YoY.
Installation Capacity:
In April, domestic power battery installations reached 62.4 GWh, increasing 10.4% MoM and 15.2% YoY.
From January to April, cumulative domestic installations reached 187.2 GWh, marking a cumulative YoY growth of 1.6%.
