Production:
In June, China’s combined production of power and energy storage batteries reached 206.0 GWh, marking a MoM increase of 7.5% and a significant YoY surge of 59.5%.
From January to June, cumulative production totaled 1068.9 GWh, reflecting a cumulative YoY growth of 53.3%.
Sales:
In June, China’s domestic sales of power and energy storage batteries in China amounted to 196.0 GWh, marking a MoM increase of 7.6% and a significant YoY increase of 49.1%.
Power batteries accounted for 68.1% of the sales share, while energy storage batteries made up 31.9%.
From January to June, cumulative sales hit 979.4 GWh, with a cumulative YoY increase of 48.6%. The sales breakdown for the period was 67.5% for power batteries and 32.5% for energy storage batteries.
Exports:
In June, China’s combined exports of power and energy storage batteries stood at 36.2 GWh, increasing 23.7% MoM and rising 48.7% YoY. Power batteries constituted 70.3% of exports, with energy storage batteries at 29.7%.
- Power battery exports were 25.5 GWh, up 26.6% MoM and up 60.8% YoY.
- Energy storage battery exports reached 10.7 GWh, up 17.3% MoM and up 26.1% YoY.
From January to June, cumulative exports reached 181.3 GWh, growing 42.5% YoY and representing 18.5% of the annual total sales. The export mix was 67.7% power batteries and 32.3% energy storage batteries.
- Cumulative power battery exports from January to June were 122.7 GWh, up 50.3% YoY.
- Cumulative energy storage battery exports totaled 58.6 GWh, surging 28.5% YoY.
Installation Capacity:
In June, domestic power battery installations reached 76.5 GWh, increasing 6.4% MoM and 31.5% YoY.
From January to June, cumulative domestic installations reached 335.6 GWh, marking a cumulative YoY growth of 12.0%.
