Recently, BYD Mexico delivered the first batch of 20 electric buses to the transportation authorities of Mexico City, which have been put into operation. This collaboration involved a total of 55 pure electric buses, marking the largest single delivery of electric buses in Mexico to date.

These buses will operate on Line 4 in Mexico City, contributing to the city’s transition to green transportation. Line 4 in Mexico City spans 35 kilometers with 40 stations, catering to the daily commuting needs of approximately 120,000 passengers. The operation of these 55 BYD electric buses is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 5,845 tons annually compared to traditional fuel vehicles, making a significant contribution to improving air quality in Mexico City.
