BYD officially announced a strategic partnership with the renowned Qatari distributor MANNAI CORPORATION, aiming to bring a diverse range of new energy vehicles to the Qatari market and contribute to the realization of Qatar’s 2030 electrification vision.

During the signing ceremony, Huang Zhixue, General Manager of BYD’s Middle East and Africa Automotive Sales Division, expressed his expectations and confidence in the collaboration: “As a global leader in new energy vehicles, BYD is committed to leading the global electrification process. Through cooperation with MANNAI CORPORATION, we hope to provide Qatari consumers with high-quality, innovative new energy vehicles, jointly embracing a future powered by clean energy.”

2023 marks the beginning of BYD’s presence in the Middle East and Africa region, opening new chapters in countries such as the UAE, South Africa, Morocco, Jordan, Mauritius, Reunion Island, and Bahrain. Qatar, as one of the Gulf countries, is actively promoting future energy transition plans, including increasing the proportion of pure electric vehicle sales to 10% by 2030, building 15,000 charging stations, and achieving comprehensive electrification of public transportation by 2030. The cooperation between BYD and MANNAI CORPORATION will contribute to Qatar’s sustainable transportation transformation.

In 2023, BYD achieved an annual sales volume of over 3 million new energy vehicles, winning the global new energy vehicle sales championship. Its footprint in new energy vehicles has spread to more than 70 countries and regions, covering over 400 cities worldwide, with the globalization process accelerating. Amid the new energy wave, BYD will continue to deepen its presence in the Middle East and Africa markets and help promote regional electrification transformation.
